This study is aimed at examining the effect of eight weeks of selected virtual-assisted games based on Montessori pedagogical principal on the motor proficiency and perceived self-control in the children with spastic hemiplegia during the coronavirus outbreak. In this quasi-experimental study, the children (6:42y ± 1:12y) with hemiplegia were randomly selected and assigned to either the experimental group or the control group. In the pretest, motor skills and self-controlling were evaluated using 36- item Lincoln-Oseretsky Motor Development Scale and Children’s Perceived Self-Control Scale (CPSC) (ss, 1982), respectively. The experimental group then engaged in three 45-minute sessions of virtual game play over the course of eight weeks. 24 hours following the last practice session, the posttest was given on the same day as the pretest. After ensuring the normal distribution of collected data with Shapiro-Wilk test, the data were analyzed using Analysis of Covariance test (ANCOVA). Results showed that the experimental group compared to the control group was better in the motor proficiency and perceived self-control after performing selected virtual-assisted Montessori games can significantly improve motor proficiency and perceived self-control (P < 0:05). This pattern of data revealed that the virtual-assisted intervention based on Montessori pedagogical principles may increase motor proficiency and self-control in children with hemiplegia, particularly when confronted with the limitations imposed on by the coronavirus epidemic....
Users can “voluntarily” control the size of their pupil by switching focus from a far target A (large pupil size) to a near target B (small pupil size), according to the pupillary accommodative response (PAR). Pupil size is governed by smooth muscles and has been suggested as communication pathway for patients affected by paralysis of skeletal muscles, such as in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).We here present a video game that relies on PAR: a 2d side-scroller game where the user, by varying pupil size, controls the height at which a spaceship is moving aiming at colliding with bubbles to burst them and score points. The height at which the spaceship flies inversely depends on pupil area. The game is implemented on a Raspberry Pi board equipped with a IR camera and may record the time course of pupil size during the game, for off-line analysis. This application is intended as a tool to train and familiarize with the control of pupil size for alternative augmentative communication....
We develop a method based on computer algebra systems to represent the mutual pure strategy best-response dynamics of symmetric two-player, two-action repeated games played by players with a one-period memory. We apply this method to the iterated prisoner’s dilemma, stag hunt, and hawk-dove games and identify all possible equilibrium strategy pairs and the conditions for their existence. The only equilibrium strategy pair that is possible in all three games is the win-stay, lose-shift strategy. Lastly, we show that the mutual best-response dynamics are realized by a sample batch Q-learning algorithm in the infinite batch size limit....
Thedevelopment of the 5th Generation Mobile Communication Technology not only brings convenience to people but also brings many network security problems. Based on the static game theory of complete information, a game model of attack and defense with limited resources in heterogeneous networks of Cyber Physical Systems is established. This model analyzes the basic rules of the offensive and defensive strategies of both parties when the offensive and defensive resources are limited in the 5th Generation Mobile Communication Technology network environment. The model can also describe the interaction between attackers and defenders. A novel compact particle swarm optimization algorithm is proposed to solve the difficult problem of solving the Nash equilibrium of this game model. The simulation experiment proves that novel compact particle swarm optimization algorithm has good optimization ability and shows that the algorithm can effectively solve the Nash equilibrium of the model. The simulation experiment provides a strategic reference for the attack-defense game with limited resources....
The purpose is to explore the application and effect of scientific games based on artificial intelligence (AI) in preschool education under the smart city. An interactive scientific games model for children by virtual reality (VR) is constructed using the augmented reality (AR) technology in AI. This enables the product to continuously enrich its interactive functions in addition to realizing its own functional requirements, pay attention to user experience, and allow users to feel the pleasure and comfortable emotional communication brought by the product in the process of using it. The model mainly completes the interaction through gesture interaction and voice interaction, and it is further empirically analyzed by means of questionnaires and interviews. The results manifested that after the use of the intelligent interaction model of scientific games, 93.33% of the students in the experimental group were interested in scientific games, and 83.33% of the students in the experimental group had a clear understanding of scientific knowledge. Moreover, more students in the experimental group believed that they had received support from explanations, demonstrations, and guided conjectures, which was significantly different from the control group (P < 0.05). In the analysis of teacher interviews, it testified that the scientific values of preschool teachers and the reserve of basic scientific knowledge were still relatively weak, and their knowledge reserve could be improved in the future. Therefore, the research shows that the constructed model can improve the interest of scientific games and the ability of knowledge acquisition in preschool education, and provide an experimental reference for the development of intelligence and the improvement of teaching skills in the field of preschool education....
